Over the last four years, UNIMAR has enjoyed rapid growth in the marine, oil, gas, and mineral sectors, and prides itself on employing a comprehensive and effective health, safety and environmental management system. Following is a list of recent projects.

Engaged by Svitzer Salvage to provide 150T Bollard Pull DP2 AHTS to assist in the Salvage Operation of MV Rena. UNIMAR chartered the vessel GO Canopus.

Dry Dock of Marsol Pride – Lyttleton 50 11,500
Marsol Pride was dry docked for scheduled repairs prior to being mobilized to Dubai for change in ownership.

Noble Drilling – LRMP Recovery Operation 50 12,600
Contracted by Noble Drilling Corp to provide Marsol Pride with ROV and Equipment Spread to assist with the recovery of the LRMP after the Drillship broke from its moorings.

STOS / AWE – Subsea Assets Inspection Program 45 48,600
UNIMAR were subcontracted by Fugro BTW to provide Marsol Pride for STOS / AWE Subsea Assets 2011 Inspection Program. Marsol Pride was mobilized with full Work Class ROV spread.

AWE New Zealand – Tuatara Drilling Program 40 16,000
Engaged by AWE to provide Marsol Pride as Emergency Response Vessel during the AWE Tuatara Drilling Campaign off D’Urville Island – South Island New Zealand. Vessel was equipped with Fugro ROV for Wellhead Subsea Intervention capability and Maritime NZ Pollution Control Equipment.

AWE New Zealand – Tui Field Sub Sea Assets Inspection Program 40 14,000
Appointed Lead Contractor for AWE’s Tui Field Inspection Program. UNIMAR sub-contracted Fugro-BTW to provide full Work Class ROV Spread and this was installed on UNIMAR vessel Marsol Pride.

De Beers Marine – Sea Bed Core Sampling - West Coast South Island 50 25,000
Engaged by De Beers Marine as South Island Service Provider during the establishment and execution of their Alluvial Core Sampling Campaign. UNIMAR provided engineering fulfillment and fabricated a complex Heave Compensated LARS System. UNIMAR also provided the campaign vessel MPV Marsol Pride. This was Marsol Pride’s first project after UNIMAR took delivery of her February 2010.

Samoa Ports Authority 3 2,720
Engaged by the Samoan Government to engineer and oversee the installation of 700T Slipway in Apia.

OMV / Clough Maari WHP 250 49,618
Engaged by Clough to manage the arrival, float-off and assist with installation of the Maari Well Head Platform. Provide temporary mooring spread and personnel to MV Far Grip to install mooring for WHP in Admiralty Bay. UNIMAR directly provided In-Field Support Vessel ‘Yarabah’ and Construction Support Vessel ‘Island Passage’ for the installation and hook-up phase operated from New Plymouth. Managed the importation and demobilisation of HLV Blue Marlin, mobilisation of Wet Tow Tugs ‘Salveritas’ and ‘Salviceroy’. This included all visa and entry documentation and procedures required by NZ Customs, MAF and Bio-Security. Temporary Support Bases were established in Nelson and French Pass and local resources, plant and equipment were integrated into the supply chain during this phase of the project. All hours audited. No LTIs. Mobilised and fitted out Geo Bay for strand recovery. This involved fabricating carousel, installing deck winches and commissioning equipment.

Technip – Rockwater II – Temporary Mooring Leg
Supply temporary mooring leg for Rockwater II during spooling operations at Picton’s Shakespeare Bay.

Technip – Ensco 107 Temporary Mooring System
Import and supply a 4-leg Temporary mooring spread for Ensco 107 / barge.

AWE – Tui FPSO Installation 40 7,500
UNIMAR was engaged by AWE as In-Country Manager for the management and crewing of Construction Vessel – Normand Installer. Imported, unloaded, set-up and mobilised to Normand Installer 9-leg permanent mooring system for FPSO. UNIMAR also set up and operated the supply base and provided additional temporary mooring for the Roroa FPSO. Provision of skilled labour, stevedores, engineering and back deck crew during the installation phase.
Oct 06 Technip - Kupe Pipeline Survey 10 2,500
UNIMAR were appointed subcontractor to Technip to undertake seabed survey. Chartered NIWA vessel MV Kaharoa, sub-contracted diving company and Fugro-BTW and produced bio-metric report and visual diver video footage.

Swire Pacific Chieftain – Refit 100 21,000
Refit was carried out at our dry-dock facilities in Nelson, NZ. UNIMAR was the managing contractor.
